A FlyDubai flight to Tel Aviv was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia yesterday after one pilot allegedly stabbed the other and tried to crash the plane, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
Investigations are ongoing into the motive behind the attack.
Data from FlightRadar24 revealed that during the struggle, the aircraft plunged over 14,000 feet in just 29 seconds. Any change of plus or minus 4,000 feet per minute would trigger a “general emergency” squawk code to air traffic control.
The plane landed safely. It had 174 people on board.
