DHL said the temporary suspension is ‘until further notice’
Logistics giant DHL announced it is temporarily suspending business-to-consumer (B2C) deliveries, valued over $800, to the US from all countries starting today.
It added that business-to-business (B2B) shipments of the same value and above will not be hindered. Still, delays may persist as the company grapples with President Donald Trump’s new trade tariffs that went into effect this month.
However, packages worth less than $800 can still be delivered, though beginning on May 2, the US will end the duty-free de minimis rule that would directly impact companies like Shein and Temu.
Other shipping services like FedEx and UPS have introduced fees on packages from China to America. Hong Kong’s postal service said it will suspend all US-bound shipments by April 27.
