Microsoft delivered a strong fourth-quarter performance, beating Wall Street expectations and boosting investor confidence in its artificial intelligence strategy.

The company’s shares jumped about 8% in premarket trading after the results.

Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing business topped $100 billion in revenue for the first time in fiscal 2026, with sales rising 41%.

Microsoft’s Intelligent Cloud, Productivity, and Personal Computing divisions all beat revenue estimates. The company also reported $678 billion in remaining contracted business, signaling strong future demand. 

The company also kept its capex plans unchanged, reassuring investors amid a surge in AI spending elsewhere.
