The NBA champions were sued in San Francisco Monday over their past partnership with the bankrupt crypto exchange platform FTX. This is the Golden State Warriors’ second FTX-related lawsuit.

Just a week before, the NBA team and Warriors guard Stephen Curry were sued in Miami by FTX customers seeking damages from the team's fraudulent promotions. Other defendants in the lawsuit include FTX Founder Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX parent company Alameda Research CEO Caroline Ellison.

The lawsuit accuses the defendants of false and deceiving promotions about FTX as a “viable and safe way to invest in crypto.” It seeks unspecified damages for FTX customers outside the US. The Warriors have stopped FTX promotions.

Other celebrities sued over FTX promotions recently are quarterback Tom Brady and his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, Shaquille O’Neal, comedian Larry David, and tennis player Naomi Osaka.
