Bankrupt FTX sued crypto lender Voyager Digital to recover the $445.8 million loan repayments FTX paid in 2022 before both firms filed for bankruptcy.

According to the court filing, FTX paid the loan and interest amount on behalf of its affiliated company Alameda Research.

Since the amount settled was very close to the platform’s collapse, FTX says it is eligible to retrieve the money and utilize it to pay back its creditors.

Voyager Digital also filed for bankruptcy in July last year, four months before FTX’s collapse.
