In response to rising accusations of insufficient action against antisemitism protests on campuses, Harvard, Columbia, and Pennsylvania University are taking direct measures to tackle the situation.

While addressing the concerns, Harvard President Dr Caludine Gay condemned these protests and vowed to combat antisemitism with education programs. She further condemned divisive phrases like “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”

Amid heightened pro-Palestine protests, Columbia University suspended two pro-Palestinian student groups on Friday.

Reasons behind the move
As pro-Palestinian activists argue for marginalized voices, over 1,600 Jewish Harvard alumni threaten to withhold donations until the universities address rising antisemitism fueled by the Israel-Hamas conflict.
