Apple TV+’s ‘The Studio’ landed $13.2 million for Season 2|@AppleTV|X

California just sweetened the deal for TV and film makers, awarding $256 million in tax credits to 22 productions as part of its newly expanded $750 million incentive program.

According to the California Film Commission, applications jumped nearly 400% compared to the last round, and for the first time, no qualified projects were turned away.

Apple TV+’s The Studio landed $13.2 million for Season 2, while HBO’s The Comeback snagged $13.6 million.

An untitled sketch show from comedian Larry David and former president Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions will get $9.1 million.

Hulu’s new Dan Fogelman drama broke records with $42.8 million, thanks to California increasing base credits from 20% to 35%.
