Netflix secured a 10-year deal worth over $5 billion with the WWE to exclusively stream Monday Night Raw—a historic program that has been on linear television for 31 years.

As of January 2025, Netflix will be the exclusive home for the show in the US, Canada, UK, Latin America, and other territories.

The deal is a major milestone as it signifies the entertainment industry’s shift from linear TV to streaming. Netflix aims to expand its entertainment offerings, from live events to sports-related content and games.

Additionally, Netflix will become the official international home for all WWE shows, including SmackDown, WrestleMania, and NXT franchises, with the option to extend the partnership for another 10 years.

The streamer reaffirmed its dominant position, reporting a record-breaking Q4 with 13.1 million new subscribers, reaching 260.28 million total subscribers globally.

The strong growth is attributed to its successful password-sharing crackdown. Netflix’s ad-supported plan, launched in late 2022, represents 40% of all sign-ups in available markets.
