78-year-old Vince McMahon is already under federal investigation for alleged sexual misconduct settlement payments to other women

Vince McMahon, founder of modern professional wrestling and executive chairman of TKO Group, resigned on Friday following a lawsuit by former employee Janel Grant, accusing him of sexual abuse and trafficking within World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Grant’s lawsuit, filed a day before McMahon’s resignation, alleged graphic instances of abuse and led to TKO severing ties with McMahon.

The lawsuit complicates the legal situation for the 78-year-old, as federal prosecutors are already investigating sexual misconduct settlement payments from him to other women.

McMahon’s departure comes amid TKO’s recent $5 billion deal with Netflix for the rights to WWE shows.
