Disney’s Zootopia 2 dominated Thanksgiving box office, earning $19.7 million on Thursday, and is expected to sweep in up to $150 million over the five-day holiday period.

The movie, which follows a rabbit police officer and a con artist fox, is also a success internationally. It has earned $74 million, pushing its global total to $133.2 million.

Meanwhile, Wicked: For Good continued its winning streak, reaching $207.2 million in under a week. It is on track to add over $90 million during the Thanksgiving holidays, which could bring its domestic total to around $270 million.

These strong performances come after a weak October, when US ticket sales fell to a three-decade low.

Among indie releases, Focus Features’ Hamnet, which is about the death of playwright William Shakespeare’s son, is emerging as an early Oscar contender. The film earned $160,000 from 160 theaters.
