McDonald’s $4 breakfast deal will include items such as an Egg McMuffin, hash brown, and coffee
Fast food operator McDonald’s plans to introduce new value menu items priced at $3 in the US, along with $4 breakfast meal deals, starting in April.
Internally called “McValue 2.0”, the strategy aims to rebuild the chain’s affordability image after price increases during the pandemic pushed some customers away. Diners are also cutting back on spending due to economic pressure.
The $4 breakfast deal will include an Egg McMuffin, hash browns, and coffee. The cheaper $3 menu will feature options like a sausage biscuit or four-piece Chicken McNuggets.
The company launched a $5 meal deal in June 2024 and later extended it as demand remained strong.
Surveys show improvement. About 21% of consumers now consider McDonald’s affordable, up from 18% in 2024, though still below pre-pandemic levels.
Rivals such as Burger King, Panera Bread, and Domino's Pizza are also offering aggressive promotions, intensifying the battle for value-seeking customers.
