The move comes after the CDC and FDA linked shredded lettuce supplied to Taco Bell to a cyclospora outbreak in five Midwestern states

California-based lettuce supplier Taylor Farms and food distributor Sysco said Friday they are recalling iceberg lettuce sourced from Mexico to help curb the largest US foodborne illness outbreak in recent years.

The move comes after the CDC and FDA linked shredded lettuce supplied to Taco Bell to a cyclospora outbreak in five Midwestern states.

Taco Bell has voluntarily removed affected menu items, and the recall comes as the parasite has sickened people across multiple states.
