Retail giant Target has decided to remove Pride month-themed products from its shelves amid backlash from a few customers who knocked over displays and angrily threatened workers.

Why the backlash?
Target has been selling LGBTQIA-friendly merchandise ahead of Pride Month this June. But some customers are not happy with it.

As a response, the retailer moved some of the Pride-month merchandise—like “Tuck friendly” women’s swimsuits—from the displays. These swimsuits were for trans women who have not undergone gender-affirming surgery.

False claims were circulating online saying these “tuck-friendly” bathing suits were designed for kids.
