The Uvalde Police Chief on the day of the Robb Elementary School massacre, Mariano Pargas, 65, has resigned, said Mayor Don McLaughlin on Thursday afternoon.
Pargas’ resignation comes just a day before the city meeting called to decide his fate. He was placed on administrative leave since an 18-year-old gunman opened fired and killed 19 children and two teachers at the school in May.
