The US military struck Iranian air defense systems, radar sites, and near the Strait of Hormuz yesterday

The US and Iran exchanged fresh attacks Tuesday, raising fears that their six-month conflict could intensify.

The US military struck Iranian air defense systems, radar sites and near the Strait of Hormuz yesterday in response to what it called recent Iranian attacks on commercial ships.

Trump warned that if Iran retaliated, it would “be hit again at a much harder and higher level.” Tehran vowed “crushing and devastating blows” in retaliation.

The escalation has rattled energy markets. Oil has climbed more than 50% this year.
