Israel strikes Tehran, warns 330,000 residents to evacuate

Israel expanded its air campaign in Tehran, Iran, on Monday, striking military targets and warning 330,000 residents to evacuate central parts of the city.

Explosions rocked Iran’s state TV station mid-broadcast, forcing anchors to flee live on air. 

Israel claims to have destroyed key missile launchers and command centers, setting Iran’s nuclear program back “a very, very long time.” 

President Donald Trump demanded Tehran’s evacuation online, while Iran launched over 370 missiles and drones at Israel. He cut short his G7 summit visit in Canada and returned to the US as the Middle East conflict intensifies.

The conflict has killed over 224 in Iran and 24 in Israel. Talks between the US and Iran have collapsed, raising fears of all-out war.

Meanwhile, Iran reportedly wants to resume nuclear talks with the US, which it has earlier canceled. Iran also wants the US to press Israel for a ceasefire.
