Geopolitical pressure intensified on Israel after the UK and EU took steps yesterday to distance themselves from the country amid its renewed military offensive in Gaza since May 5.
The UK paused trade talks and imposed sanctions on West Bank settlers, with Britain’s top diplomat calling the operation “morally unjustifiable.”
The EU announced a review of its relationship with Israel, calling the situation in Gaza “catastrophic.”
These actions follow the UK, France and Canada threatening sanctions if Israel continues blocking aid and intensifying attacks.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that his country plans to “take control of the entire Gaza Strip.”
