The Ozempic drug used to treat Type 2 diabetes and obesity is the new talk of the town since celebrities and wealthy people were found to take it for their weight loss.

What is Ozempic?
Ozempic and its sister drug Wegovy contain a compound called semaglutide which can be injected once a week or daily in the stomach, thigh or arm. It helps the pancreas release the necessary insulin to lower blood sugar.

The drug also slows down food movement in the stomach which results in decreased appetite and eventually weight loss.

But there is a caveat
People who use the drug for quick weight loss purposes see results, but it has a side effect. Their faces begin to sag. Medics are warning against the abuse of the FDA-approved Ozempic saying it leads to a youthful body but an old face.
