David Beckham is suing actor Mark Wahlberg over a failed brand deal with F45 Training, a fitness company in which the Hollywood A-lister holds a 36% stake and serves as chief branding officer.

Beckham’s firm DB Ventures alleges the soccer player lost $10 million when the promised stocks weren’t delivered until after share prices dropped. He is also suing Wahlberg’s investment firm F45 and cofounders, Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch.

In the suit, Beckham, 48, claims he was “duped” into signing an endorsement with F45.

Wahlberg, 52, and co-defendants seek dismissal of the suit, claiming Beckham’s accusations are baseless and that he is deflecting blame.

Beckham and Wahlberg became friends when the English soccer legend moved to LA in 2007. The actor acquired a stake in F45 in 2019. The legendary footballer had appeared in several F45 social media posts promoting the brand, which have since been deleted.
