The sex-trafficking trial involving hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs started on Monday with federal prosecutors claiming he ran a criminal enterprise for two decades, forcing victims into drug-fueled sex parties.
He faces five criminal charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Witnesses who testified yesterday include a former hotel security guard and a male escort, both of whom said they have seen Diddy beat his ex-girlfriend, R&B singer Cassie Ventura.
The trial, which is expected to last eight weeks, will see Ventura testifying today. Two other women are also expected to appear.
Federal prosecutors allege Diddy used his wealth and inner circle to control women.
Diddy, 55, has been in jail since September 2024. He has pleaded not guilty, and his lawyer painted him as a flawed but consensual swinger, calling the abuse claims financially motivated.
