Following a brutal week, the worst since March 2020, stocks bounced Tuesday. After worries over a global economic downturn, Wall Street's major indexes jumped over 2% as investors bought shares of megacap growth and energy companies.

The Dow closed up 641 points, or 2.1%, and was up over 700 points in afternoon trading. The S&P 500 was up 2.5%, so Nasdaq was also 2.5% higher.

After seeing a significant drop in cryptocurrency that sent prices below $18,000 over the weekend, Bitcoin rose back above $21,000. Treasury yields also climbed, and the 10-year yield increased to 3.3%.
