The music copyright trial accusing Ed Sheeran of ripping off Marvin Gaye’s 1973 hit “Let’s Get It On” to write his Grammy-winning “Thinking Out Loud” went to a jury on Wednesday.

On Monday, the English singer-songwriter threatened to quit the music industry if he loses the lawsuit, calling the accusations “really insulting,” according to People.

He further added the chord progressions are “common” and used in several songs.

When Sheeran took the stand this week, he was asked what he would do if the jury found his song was similar to Gaye’s hit. He responded, “If that happens, I’m done, I’m stopping.”
