NASA’s Artemis I lifted off successfully on its debut flight along with three test dummies on board, marking the space agency’s return to the Moon after 50 years.

The rocket is a big step for the country, bringing it closer to putting astronauts back on the lunar surface. Artemis plans to put the first woman on the lunar surface, something that Apollo missed.

If all goes well, the 32-storey tall $4.1 billion rocket will propel a crewless Orion spacecraft it is carrying around the Moon’s orbit before returning to Earth in 26 days.
