Instagram rolled out a new feature called “Your Algorithm” within the Reels tab on Wednesday, allowing users more control over the content they watch.
The update can be accessed in the top-right corner of the Reels tab. It allows people to personalize a dashboard of interests by removing topics they don’t like or adjusting preferences to view content more or less frequently.
Users can also share their personalized algorithm as an Instagram story for followers to see.
Tech experts say the move is significant because it would give people relevant Reels, boosting engagement on the platform. Instagram said in a blog post that it plans to expand the feature to the Explore page.
