Nvidia gets green light to sell AI chips to China

Three months after halting Nvidia’s AI chip sales to China, the Trump administration has reversed its decision.

Nvidia announced that it can now sell its China-specific H20 chip. These semiconductors are pending US license approvals, but officials have assured that they will be granted.

The shift follows Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s lobbying efforts and recent meeting with President Donald Trump.

The H20 chip, crucial for AI applications, could earn Nvidia up to $15 billion this year.
