Sales of Ray-Ban Meta glasses tripled year over year, says EssilorLuxottica|@ray_ban|X

EssilorLuxottica reported that revenue from Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses more than tripled year over year, fueling its first-half 2025 sales to $16.25 billion—a 7.3% increase.

However, profit margins fell due to US tariffs and growing investments in smart glasses.

The Ray-Ban maker has partnered with Facebook parent Meta since 2019.

Company leaders said they aim to turn eyewear into a next-gen computing platform by blending AI, sensory tech, and healthcare data.

EssilorLuxottica also launched Oakley Meta smart glasses in June and plans to unveil a Prada-branded version soon.

Meta renewed its long-term deal with the European eyewear giant in September to continue building smart eyewear into the next decade. EssilorLuxottica owns major brands like Ray-Ban, Oakley, Vogue Eyewear, and Persol.
