Anthropic is reportedly close to launching a new business with Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, and other investors to sell AI tools to companies owned by private-equity firms.

An announcement is expected soon. Anthropic, Hellman & Friedman, and Blackstone will each invest about $300 million, while Goldman Sachs may invest $150 million.

Total funding could reach $1.5 billion, with General Atlantic also joining. The new company will guide businesses on how to use AI in their day-to-day operations.

Rival OpenAI is planning a similar step, which will increase competition.

The move shows how demand for AI is growing across industries, as firms look to improve efficiency, cut costs, and boost performance using advanced technology.
