DoorDash has agreed to pay $131.5 million to resolve allegations that it failed to properly pay hundreds of thousands of delivery workers in New York City.
The settlement, announced Tuesday by Mayor Zohran Mamdani, will return most of the money to more than 260,000 workers who allegedly received less than they were owed, were compensated late, or didn't receive their wages at all.
The company will also pay around $16 million in penalties and other costs to NYC.

DoorDash acknowledged the payment problems and apologized, saying technical glitches and complicated orders caused some errors.
The settlement follows another $17 million DoorDash agreement last year over how it handled worker tips in New York.
