Sony is doubling down on the lasting power of iconic brands. In a late-year deal, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sony Music Entertainment Japan bought WildBrain’s entire 41% stake in Peanuts Holding LLC for about $460 million.
The move raises Sony’s ownership to 80%, while the Schulz family keeps the remaining 20%.
