At least 32 people are dead due to the recent wave of tornadoes and storms that ravaged the South and Midwest states over the weekend.

Arkansas, Indiana and Tennessee had the most number of deaths.

President Joe Biden’s office announced federal aid to Arkansas on Sunday.

The aid allows financial assistance “for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.”

The 69 tornadoes that hit eight states damaged hundreds of houses, businesses, vehicles and trees. Recovery efforts are underway as people try to salvage what they can from the debris to rebuild.
