New Yorkers are no longer required to wear masks while traveling in trains, buses and other public transit, Governor Kathy Hochul announced Wednesday.
The decision to end the 28-month mandate took effect immediately, but it is still mandatory to wear masks in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, added Hochul.
