Members of Congress have unanimously decided they want to know the origins of COVID-19, just as speculations grow strong that it could have spread due to a lab leak.

The House cleared a bill Friday that would require the Director of National Intelligence to declassify information on COVID-19 origins. President Joe Biden has to decide whether to pass or veto it.

Why the sudden demand?
Less than two weeks back, a classified report from the Department of Energy concluded COVID-19 was the result of a mistake at a CDC-designated Biosafety Level 4 lab in China. The FBI also concluded the same long back.

With two federal agencies saying the coronavirus pandemic, which killed more than 7 million people, is the result of a lab leak, politicians want to know more.

Four out of the 52 Level 4 labs in the world are in the US.
