Ethereum conference in Cannes highlights institutional shift

Ethereum took center stage at the French Riviera this week, as crypto builders, developers, and institutions gathered for the Ethereum Community Conference (EthCC) in Cannes. 

The iconic Palais des Festivals — home to the Cannes Film Festival — hosted keynotes and demos, with Robinhood unveiling tokenized US stocks via Ethereum’s Arbitrum network. That helped its stock surge past $100.

BitMine Immersion soared over 1,200% after shifting its treasury to Ether. Deutsche Bank and BlackRock have deepened their Ethereum integration, signaling rising institutional trust. Vitalik Buterin emphasized Ethereum’s dependability, privacy, and neutrality — traits that institutions now prioritize.

Even as newer blockchains chase speed, Ethereum remains the backbone of stablecoins and tokenized finance, proving it’s more than hype — it’s infrastructure.
