The religious charter school will teach Catholicism to its students while receiving public funds

The Oklahoma school board, in a 3-2 vote, approved St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual Charter School’s application to be the country’s first publicly funded religious charter school in the country.

However, the debate goes on whether taxpayer money can constitutionally go towards funding for religious schools.

The school will teach Catholicism to its students while receiving public funds.

The vote will certainly be challenged in court.
