The IEA report points out renewable energy will reduce fossil fuel demand by 2030

A promising report from the International Energy Agency (IEA) says renewable energy has become an “unstoppable” part of the human ecosystem, and half the world’s electricity will be through clean energy by 2030.

The IEA points out that this year, one in five cars sold in the US is an EV and notes that by the end of this decade, 10 times more electric vehicles will be on the road globally.

The agency also predicts that the demand for coal, oil and gas will peak this decade.
