The longest-running show in US Broadway history, the "Phantom of The Opera” will come to a close in February 2023 after a 35-year run, according to media reports.

At more than 13,000 performances, the show, the brainchild of three theater legends Andrew Lloyd Webber, Hal Prince and Cameron Mackintosh, premiered in London’s West End in October 1986 before opening on Broadway on January 26, 1988.

Since the reopening after the pandemic, box office grosses for the show have fluctuated and gone as high as over $1 million a week but also dropped to around $850,000.

As the reports of Phantom’s end on Broadway came in, producer Cameron Mackintosh told The Post that till Sunday night, the show had reported around $2 million in ticket sales.

The final performance will be held at Broadway’s Majestic Theater on February 18.
