Fyre Fest is getting a second edition in Quintana Roo, Mexico, and its tickets went on sale this week.

Its infamous founder, Billy McFarland, who went to prison in 2018 for almost four years for wire fraud related to the first Fyre Festival, says things will be different this time.

Fyre 2 posters indicate it will be a “three-day escape” that will take place from May 30 to June 2, with international and local talent. No artist line-ups have been announced yet. Though McFarland claims the festival will have artists across electronic, hip hop, pop and rock.

Ticket prices range from $1,400 to $1.1 million, and the cheapest package costs $1,604.17 after service fees, excluding stay or food. Despite the first festival’s failure, people are still buying: presale tickets at $500 each allegedly sold out.

What’s different this time?
McFarland says he is not in charge of handling music talent this time. Also, rapper Ja Rule is not mentioned anywhere.

At least $500,000 from the new festival will go toward the $26 million in restitution he still owes investors and those who bought tickets to the first Fyre Fest.
