Spotify announced Friday that it has inked a new deal with its No.1 podcaster Joe Rogan, which is said to be worth up to $250 million, per the WSJ.

According to the new deal, the podcast will not be exclusive to the platform anymore. The move reflects Spotify’s strategy to maximize audience reach and ad sales.

How?
The new multi-year deal allows “The Joe Rogan Experience” to be distributed and have ads sold, including a video format on YouTube—the podcast’s previous home.

Not just Rogan, Spotify’s No. 2 podcaster Alex Cooper of “Call Her Daddy” also signed a new deal allowing her to stream on other platforms.
