Actor Ryan Gosling serenading Barbie’s ‘I’m Just Ken’ song at the Oscars might have increased the award show’s declining viewership. It garnered an estimated 19.5 million views on ABC—the highest in four years.

Not only that, Gosling’s rendition at the Oscars last Sunday has jumped on-demand US audio and video streams of the song a whopping 422% from 600,000 to over 3 million in a week, according to data analytics firm Luminate.

The Oscars’ official YouTube channel garnered two million views, while the Atlantic Records’ page received 8.6 million views for the performance.

Additionally, the entire Barbie: The Album soundtrack experienced a 23% jump, reaching 23 million streams this past week.

The surge in viewership is also partly attributed to the ‘Barbenheimer’ phenomenon.
