Sailing well over expectations, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse drew in a surprising $120.5 million in domestic sales and earned the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend.
It is the second-biggest opening of 2023 after The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Sony Pictures Entertainment said the animated Spider-Man spinoff brought in $88.5 million overseas.
