Universal unveils its new Epic Universe theme park

Universal Orlando Resort has lifted the veil on Celestial Park, one of the five enchanting lands in the upcoming Universal Epic Universe park set to open in 2025.

It boasts of another Harry Potter land but with a twist. It will have the Ministry of Magic. Other lands include How to Train Your Dragon - Isle of Berk, Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe.

Epic Universe is designed to be a weeklong vacation destination. Other experiences include vibrant gardens, shimmering waterways and architectural wonders inspired by the cosmos.

The park collectively offers over 50 thrilling attractions.

A good year for theme parks
Comcast, the owner of NBCUniversal, reported that its theme parks division had its most profitable year in 2023, with Super Nintendo Worlds playing a significant role in its success.

Disney, another major player in the theme park industry, saw a 16% sales increase in its “experiences” category last year. It became the company’s fastest-growing division.
