Major AI companies are preparing a wave of blockbuster financing deals to fund computing hardware as data center expansion drives escalating demand for capital, the Wall Street Journal reports.

SpaceX is talking to banks and asset managers about raising $10 billion in loans and $30 billion in investment-grade debt, according to the Financial Times.

Broadcom is working to arrange over $50 billion in financing for OpenAI’s custom chip program. Major lenders, including Apollo and Blackstone, are in early discussions to participate in the deal.

Meanwhile, Oracle is negotiating with Apollo and Goldman Sachs to finance a massive chip purchase.

Morgan Stanley estimates that AI infrastructure will require $1.5 trillion in external financing by 2028.

The debt-financing deals show no sign of slowing despite investor worries about AI’s expansion.
