Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte was introduced in 2003
Starbucks will bring back its Pumpkin Spice Latte (PSL) on August 26, four days later than last year but with its earliest-ever announcement.
Introduced in 2003, the PSL is a seasonal bestseller. It helped boost foot traffic by 24% after its release last year, according to Placer.ai.
Starbucks unveiled its full fall menu early, which includes returning favorites like the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew and Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, along with a new Pecan Oatmilk Cortado and Italian Sausage Egg Bites.
The company, facing slowing US sales and increased competition, is counting on the PSL to lift business.
Starbucks’ new CEO Brian Niccol has trimmed 30% of menu items, redesigned cafes, and adjusted uniforms.
