The United Center will sell cannabis-infused drinks during events, becoming the first major venue to offer hemp-derived THC drinks to attendees.
The stadium announced yesterday that it has signed a multiyear deal with cannabis drink brands Rythm and Senorita to add their beverages to the menu.
Arena officials say the move is meant to give fans more choices and keep up with changing tastes.
The drinks will be available at concerts and live events starting in early February and will be sold only to adults 21 and older, alongside alcohol and soft drinks. The United Center will offer four hemp-derived THC drinks, each containing 5 milligrams of THC.
However, the beverages won’t be available at Bulls and Blackhawks games since the NHL and NBA don’t allow cannabis advertising or sponsorships.
Interest in hemp-based THC is growing fast. A recent study showed that 14% of US adults used these products in early 2025, up from 8% a year earlier.
According to Future Markets Insight, THC beverage sales hit $850 million in 2025 and are expected to climb to $4 billion by 2028.
The announcement comes as US lawmakers debate stricter rules for hemp-derived THC products. November could see a federal limit of 0.4 milligrams of THC per beverage, a move that could stall the hemp industry’s growth.
Even with the uncertainty, experts believe cannabis drinks could soon become common at large entertainment venues across the country.
