In a major security breach, the Rhysida ransomware group leaked over 1.3 million files from Sony-owned Insomniac Games this week.

Bloomberg reports that the leaked data includes game road maps, budget information and details about an upcoming Wolverine game set for 2026.

The breach also revealed Sony’s ambitious decade-long plan, featuring Marvel-inspired titles, including a game titled Spider-Man 3 and other games based on Venom and X-men.

The compromised data isn’t just game-related; it has employee details, executive compensation and financial agreements.

Rhysida initially planned a $2 million bitcoin auction for the data but released it on Tuesday.

The incident follows a trend in the gaming industry’s vulnerability, reminiscent of the Grand Theft Auto VI leak from Take-Two Interactive Software last year.
