Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson created waves on social media when he posted that he would interview Russian President Vladimir Putin. If he follows through, it would be the first American media interview of Putin since the Ukraine invasion.
Carlson’s recent visit to Moscow sparked speculation about the interview, though the Kremlin has not confirmed it. He defended the decision to interview Putin, citing the need to inform Americans about the war in Ukraine.
He also criticized Western media for their coverage and expressed his intention to interview Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as well.
Carlson’s show on Fox was canceled in April 2023, and he has been posting shows on X (Twitter) and his own website. He indicated the Putin interview would likely be available for free on X.
