America and China have extended their tariff truce for another 90 days, President Donald Trump confirmed Monday, just hours before it was set to expire.

The deal maintains reduced US tariffs on Chinese goods at 30%, down from 145%, and keeps rare earth mineral exports from China flowing.

China’s Commerce Ministry also confirmed it will suspend additional tariffs on US goods until November 10, as outlined in a joint statement.

The move follows a third round of trade talks in Sweden last month, after earlier agreements in Geneva and London.

US officials had hinted an extension was likely in recent days. The decision delays uncertainty for businesses and investors, giving both economies more time to negotiate long-term trade terms.
