Ukraine has agreed to a peace deal brokered by the Trump administration aimed at ending Russia’s nearly four-year war, US and Ukrainian officials said Tuesday.

While the core terms are settled, some details still need to be worked out.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky may travel to the US later this month to finalize the agreement.

The news comes after recent reports of a secret meeting between American and Russian delegates to finalize the 28-point proposal, which is widely seen as favoring Moscow.

President Donald Trump called the deal good for both parties, noting only a few points of disagreement remain. Once the proposal is amended by Ukrainian and US officials, Trump will send US special envoy Steve Witkoff to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

Russia has not yet commented, but officials signaled they are ready to discuss key principles. European allies continue to support the talks.
