President Donald Trump’s family launched a phone service, Trump Mobile, which promises American-made hardware and customer support.

The plan was unveiled by his sons, Eric and Donald Jr., at Trump Tower on the 10th anniversary of Trump’s 2016 presidential run announcement.

Trump’s company, DTTM Operations LLC, recently filed trademarks for telecom-related products and services.

The new service will function as a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), leasing wireless capacity from a major US network. Its flagship “47 plan” is for $47.45 a month, referencing Trump’s two terms (45th and 47th) as the US president.

Monthly plans include telemedicine, device protection, roadside assistance, and unlimited calling to over 100 countries. A 250-seat US customer service center will provide support.

However, critics are wary as they see a potential conflict of interest since the president could sway public policies.

President Trump’s existing ventures include Truth Social, real estate, crypto, and several merchandise.
