Comedy actors and podcasters behind the SmartLess podcast, Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, announced their wireless company, SmartLess Mobile, yesterday.

The low-cost, direct-to-consumer phone carrier operates on T-Mobile’s 5G network. It offers monthly plans ranging from $15 to $30 for 5 to 30 gigabytes of high-speed data. Customers can also lock in lifetime pricing, according to the company.

Meanwhile, unlimited plans from major carriers can cost between $35 and $65 per month.

The digital-only wireless company targets millions of budget-conscious users in the US and Puerto Rico, who mostly rely on Wi-Fi and don’t want to pay the high premiums charged by providers like AT&T and Verizon.

The SmartLess trio now joins a growing list of Hollywood figures launching telecom ventures, following in the footsteps of Ryan Reynolds, whose Mint Mobile was acquired by T-Mobile for $1.35 billion in 2023.
